Call for Volunteers: MATHCOUNTS

The 2012 MATHCOUNTS Missouri Western Chapter competition is quickly approaching and we are in need of volunteers to help the day run as smooth as possible.  For those of you that are not familiar with MATHCOUNTS, it is a competition for 6th-8th grade students giving them an opportunity and incentive to test and showcase their math skills (for more information, visit www.mathcounts.org).  This year’s local competition includes 10 schools and a total of 100 students!

The competition will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus (a different location than last year).  We are in need of volunteers for morning, afternoon or all day shifts to help with various activities throughout the day.  If you are interested and available to help, please reply to dvap@hntb.com by January 20th, 2012.  Shortly after your response, you will be receiving a sign-up sheet to indicate times and activities with which you are willing to help.
